Uganda's social media fraternity is reeling from the shocking news of the death of socialite and content creator Diane Namulindwa aka Diana Skyz in Kyanja, with Police saying they have already made arrests.

Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan deputy Police spokesperson, said they have arrested two suspects in connection with the Tuesday night death.

Kira Road Police are investigating a case of aggravated robbery and murder by strangulation, he said.

The incident happened on the night of February 3 in Kwaata Zone, Kyanja Ward in Kampala's Kawempe Division.

Owoyesigyire said 24-year-old Namulinde, who was both a businesswoman and content creator on social media platform TikTok, was living alone in an apartment in Kyanja.

"Her body was discovered on February 4, 2026, after friends went to check on her and found her apartment open," he said.

The Police arrested a security guard attached to the premises after he was reportedly found in possession of items suspected to have been stolen, some of which Owoyesigyire said were later identified as belonging to the deceased.

A team of homicide detectives and scene of crime officers visited and documented the scene. Several exhibits were recovered, and statements from relevant witnesses recorded.

"So far, three suspects have been identified, and two have been arrested to assist with ongoing investigations," said Owoyesigyire.

"The body of the deceased was conveyed to KCCA Mulago City Mortuary for a post-mortem examination."
