Toto Christmas Festival inches closer

At Namugongo Girls Primary School, for instance, the girls were eager to receive Vision Group’s Toto Magazine team. They fervently begged Auntie Grace, the Toto Magazine editor whose real name is Grace Nampiima, to give them flyers that bore details of the festival.

As the countdown to the Toto Christmas Festival draws near to the D-day, children in Kampala schools are upbeat about it.

At Namugongo Girls Primary School, for instance, the girls were eager to receive Vision Group’s Toto Magazine team. They fervently begged Auntie Grace, the Toto Magazine editor whose real name is Grace Nampiima, to give them flyers that bore details of the festival.

Auntie Grace happily complied, gave them flyers and explained all the goodies they will enjoy at the festival on December 7, at Kampala Parents Playground.

They were told to expect fun activities such as: swimming, bouncing castles, face painting and dancing.

However, the prospect of winning cash prizes in the talent search got the children even more excited, and they shouted all the louder.

Organised by Vision Group, the festival has been sponsored by Indomie Instant Noodles Uganda, Pepsi, Toyota Uganda and Ruparelia Group.

Each sponsor has generously supported the festival, starting with Ruparelia Group that has offered its wonderfully spacious grounds to host the event.

Toyota Uganda has given the children the opportunity to participate in the 19th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest. Children are invited to join the contest by drawing their dream car, where the winners will win a fat cash prize to the tune of $ 5000 (approximately sh 18m). They thus stand a chance to win school fees for next year.

Indomie Instant Noodles will have the children’s easy-to-cook-and-eat noodles, and Pepsi will bring the children’s variety of soda for them to quench their little parched throats.

The headmistress of the school, Josephine Nabwami, said, “Our children are excited about the long-awaited Toto Christmas Festival.

The festival is good because children will remember the festivities surrounding Christ’s birth.”

She urged parents to take their children for the festival, where the entrance fee will be sh 10,000 per child and free entrance for parents and guardians.
