Stand-up comedian Teacher Mpamire’s parodies of President Yoweri Museveni never cease to excite Ugandans whenever he hits the stage.

He ilicitated the same reaction from guests while imitating Museveni at the Employer of the Year Awards Dinner at Speke Resort Hotel, Munyonyo in Kampala on Friday night, March 1. 

First, the comedian, dressed in a multi-coloured coat, appeared as a primary school teacher outlining social-economic issues that affect the country, especially the elite class employed in the service sector. The skit amused the head of cooperation and deputy head of mission, Belgian Embassy, Luc Pirson, who was the guest of honour.

The function was attended by International Labour Organisation (ILO) area director for Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi, Wellington Chibebe. Other companies, including Vision Group, Uganda Revenue Authority, Carrefour, National Oil Company, Uganda National Roads Authority, and National Social Security Fund, were well represented.
