New Eagles band singer Rachael Namiiro graced the stage at Papaz Spot in Makindye, Kampala for her maiden concert dubbed Kwata Ku Figure Yo on May 4.

The band was founded by singers/couple, Irene Namatovu and Godfrey Lutaaya.

When the duo made an entrance at the venue, excitement filled the air. The moment Namiiro hit the stage, the room erupted.

Dressed in a shimmery black ball gown, Namiiro exuded pure star power. Her opening number, Nyongera Kwagala,  had the crowd swaying and singing along.

As the night unfolded, Namiiro navigated a seamless setlist. Her upbeat tracks had the crowd dancing in the aisle. For the slower songs, a hush fell over the room. Namiiro poured her heart and her voice cracking with raw emotion when she danced along with her dad that left many eyes misty.

Between songs, Namiiro interacted with the audience, her infectious smile and witty banter creating a warm and intimate atmosphere. A group of friends at the back held up a homemade sign which elicited a hearty laugh from Namiiro and a roar of approval from the crowd.

The highlight of the night came with the title track, Kwata Ku Figure Yo. The entire room transformed into a singalong, a sea of voices united by the power of Namiiro's music.
