They say boys will always be boys, and the Old Boys of St. Henry’s College Kitovu (SHACK) proved just that last weekend at Legends Grounds in Lugogo, Kampala, during the lively Shack Fest
The event marked the official launch of their annual football league, but the real magic unfolded after the final whistle.
As the sun dipped, the evening came alive with music, laughter, and spirited socializing. Though SHACK is a boys-only school, the crowd was far from male-dominated.
A notable number of women turned up, some accompanying their partners, others simply there to enjoy the vibe. A few proudly carried their men’s boots, a playful nod to the “show-off-my-girlfriend” brigade.
The entertainment kicked off at 6:30 p.m. with City Groove Band setting the tone, playing crowd favorites that kept spirits high. With discounted beer prices, the bars were buzzing, buckets and crates were the order of the night. By the time musician Kapeke hit the stage, some revelers were already too worn out to keep up.

Kapeke’s performance of his hit Tema Ensingo, known for its dramatic “neck-hacking” dance move, saw the Old Boys channel their energy into dancing with longtime friends rather than their partners, keeping the vibe light and respectful.
But it was Karole Kasita who truly turned up the heat. Her electrifying performance had fans rushing the stage, eager for a moment of connection. She embraced the energy, unfazed by the excitement.
The night ended on a high note with Elijah Kitaka’s dynamic set, leaving the crowd in awe. His performance was so powerful, many simply bowed in admiration before calling it a night.
