Swangz Avenue and Rotary International joined forces on March 31, 2024, at the Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala, to host the Gather for Impact event.

This event transcended mere music and entertainment, transforming into a night dedicated to driving change in the community by raising funds for a noble cause.

The event raised  sh400m towards the construction of a school block.

Renowned artistes such as Afrigo Band, Maddox, Double Black, Elijah Kitaka, and Azawi delivered captivating performances.

The funds raised will directly benefit the students of Kitala Secondary School, promising enhancements in literacy and educational infrastructure, in line with Rotary's mission of creating enduring impacts in communities.

Attendees and sponsors generously contributed over sh200m, with Swangz Avenue leading by example with a pledge of sh200m to support the cause by providing event production.

"We believe in using our platform not only to entertain, but also to uplift and empower communities. Collaborating with Rotary International to support education aligns perfectly with our values, and we are committed to continuing our efforts to make a difference. We are happy to do this every year and we are excited about what we can do together next year, " said Julius Kyazze, head of business development at Swangz Avenue.

"Events like 'Gather for Impact' exemplify the spirit of Rotary - bringing people together for a common cause. We are grateful for the support of organisations like Swangz Avenue and all those who contributed to making this event a success," remarked Farouk Busuulwa of Rotary Uganda.
