On the rainy day of May 4, the annual Kadodi Karnival at UMA Show Grounds faced a delay due to heavy downpours, but this did not dampen the spirits of the attendees.

As the day progressed, around 3 pm, crowds started flocking to the venue, eager to be part of the celebration.

The event's performances kicked off with Pastor Micheal Musaalo's captivating performance, setting the stage for an evening filled with music, dance, and culture.

The turnout was massive, with people pouring in to witness performances by renowned artists like Cindy, Legendary Iddi Masaba, Khaukha, Kateam from Canada, Frencha Nezza, Dancehall Artist Papalova, and Titus Vybes.

Titus Vybes, known for his hit song "Setting Nga" from Mbale, delivered a show-stopping performance, captivating the audience before passing the spotlight to Cindy.

The atmosphere was electric as revellers danced Kadodi to the beats of five different troupes from Mbale, each showcasing unique performances reflecting their clans and origins in Masaba Land.

Among the troupes, Salongo's group stood out for their vibrant energy and captivating performances, earning praise from the audience.

In addition to dancing Kadodi, attendees enjoyed local brews like Malawa and engaged in traditional activities like Okwepena, immersing themselves in the rich cultural experience.

Children had their share of fun with activities such as Bouncing Castles and face painting, adding a joyful atmosphere to the event.

There was so much focus on the mesmerising Kadodi troupes that captivated the audience with their rhythmic moves and colourful costumes.

The grand finale was marked by a surprise fireworks display, thrilling the crowd and symbolizing the beginning of the year of Imbalu, as shared by the event organizer, Maggie. The event was hosted by media personality and Mbale’s top female Mc Hopkins who entertained revellers with her hyping energy and vibes on the microphone

The Kimaru Foundation introduced Kadodi Karnival Chocolates, a special snack representing the essence of Mbale region, adding a delightful touch to the evening's festivities.

The Kadodi Karnival at UMA Show Grounds was indeed a night to remember, blending music, dance, tradition, and community spirit in a celebration of Mbale's vibrant culture and talent.
