In some homes, colour stops inside the house. The outdoors has dull pavers, a little green from the trees, and concrete perimeter walls.

According to Maureen Nakabuye, an interior designer, the outdoors should also be spruced by adding colour from different sources. Brightening up your home will elevate its beauty and value.

Aside from painting the fence, Joshua Twinomurinzi a landscaper prefers painting the floors in some of his design projects. He says you can specifically use floor paint on the pavers. Choose colours you love, even if they are bright.

For example, inside Momo Masiko’s home in Naalya, Kampala, she painted some pavers red and the others, orange and this matches well with the perimeter wall.

Twinomurinzi suggests you settle for your favourite scheme rather than following trends.
You can take inspiration from the colours inside the house.

He says painting or accent wall colours can be used in your outdoors. The hues will flow from the interior to the outdoors and back.

Plants are another easy way to add colour to your home. Try to group potted flowers, accessories, and furniture to see what they look like.

In other words, you can pair colourful containers with matching plants to create a colorful garden or consider the different shades of blue, red, orange, or purple to create a striking color variation.

Pimp them with various blooms and those with decorative foliage in the form of herbs, cacti, orchids, and succulents.

The flowering plants in containers beautify their surroundings and can be moved to other locations.  Decorate the pots with sequins, shells, or pebbles for additional colour.

Also, incorporate the hanging flower baskets for a burst of color to the higher levels.
