KAMPALA - President Yoweri Museveni has appointed, Prof. Gilbert Bukenya as the Senior Presidential Advisor on Environment and Sanitation.
The new assignment of the former Vice President was announced in a statement issued Wednesday evening by the Presidential Press Unit (PPU).
The 74-year-old politician and physician was the seventh vice president of Uganda from May 23, 2003 until May 23, 2011.
He represented Busiro County North constituency in the Ugandan Parliament since 1996.
