The September edition of Pablo’s monthly comedy show at the National Theatre was a night to remember, bringing together three of Uganda’s finest comedians—Pablo, Ann Kansiime, and Patrick Idringi Salvado, for a special performance titled One Night Stand: Bye Bye Uganda.

The subtitle, Bye Bye Uganda, signaled their upcoming tour of Canada, where the trio will perform in Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal.

During a sit-down segment with Pablo, Ann Kansiime described the trip as a golden opportunity to showcase Ugandan comedy abroad. “This is the first time we’ll be performing together in a foreign country,” she said, highlighting the significance of the tour.

Kansiime also revealed plans to launch a new monetized visual content platform called Play It Loud. “We’ve struggled to monetize our content on platforms like Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube. Now, we finally have a solution,” she shared.

In his 30-minute set, Salvado touched on personal themes, including his excitement about reconnecting with his wife, Daphine Frankstock, who moved to Canada two years ago. “She’s doing well and supporting our family. Those saying we separated are wrong, I even visited her in January,” he clarified.

Salvado also reflected on his early days in comedy, recalling his first encounter with Pablo at a competition in Kampala. “He won that night, and since then, we’ve worked together on several projects,” he said.

The evening doubled as a birthday celebration for Pablo, and the show ended on a high note with a surprise appearance by rapper Navio Kigozi, who invited the comedians to join him in a freestyle session, bringing laughter, rhythm, and camaraderie to the stage.
