Oqata Wellness, Uganda’s leading advocate for holistic health and wellness, proudly participated in this year’s Cancer Run, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to community health and social impact. 


As part of its involvement, Oqata Wellness purchased 100 tickets to ensure strong participation from its staff and leadership, showcasing the company’s dedication to both physical wellness and community wellbeing.


Speaking on behalf of Oqata Wellness, CEO Elias Serugo Muhoozi stated:

 

"At Oqata Wellness, we believe that true wellness is not just a personal journey but a collective responsibility. Joining the Cancer Run allows us to show our support for those affected by cancer and to encourage healthier lifestyles across Uganda. We are honored to contribute to this important cause."

 

The Cancer Run saw enthusiastic participation from Oqata Wellness employees, from top-level management to entry-level staff, all unified by a shared vision of health, hope, and healing.

 

Ms. Jackie Atim, Human Resource Manager at Oqata Wellness, highlighted the impact of the initiative on employee morale and corporate culture:

 

"Our participation in the Cancer Run is more than a corporate gesture — it’s a reflection of our values. The overwhelming response from our staff demonstrates how deeply wellness and social responsibility are embedded in our company culture. It was inspiring to see colleagues bonding, running, and standing in solidarity for such a meaningful cause."

 

Adding to the sentiment, Magezi, the Operations Manager, emphasized the logistical coordination and operational impact of the initiative:

 

 

"Organizing and mobilizing over 100 team members for the run required meticulous planning, but it was well worth the effort. This event not only reinforced team spirit but also showcased our ability to align operations with purpose-driven initiatives. We are proud to have been part of something bigger than ourselves."
