SOLEMNITY OF THE ASCENSION OF THE LORD

The Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord is a significant feast in the Christian calendar that commemorates Jesus Christ's ascension into heaven. It's observed 40 days after Easter Sunday. The Ascension of the Lord marks a pivotal moment in Christian faith. As Jesus ascends into heaven, it signifies:

• 1. Completion of earthly ministry: Jesus' life, death, and resurrection fulfill God's plan for salvation.
• 2. Divine glory: Jesus returns to the Father, affirming His divine nature.
• 3. Promise of return: Jesus promises to return, giving hope for believers.

Reflecting on the Ascension encourages us to:

• 1. Trust in God's plan: Like the disciples, we await Jesus' return, trusting in His promise.
• 2. Embody Jesus' teachings: As Jesus ascends, He's entrusted His mission to us, to spread love, compassion, and hope.

The Ascension inspires faith, hope, and charity, guiding us to live out Jesus' teachings and await His glorious return.
