The third day of Nyege Nyege 2024 was nothing short of electrifying, leaving festivalgoers buzzing with energy and unforgettable memories. Nestled along the scenic Nile shores, the festival continued to live up to its reputation as the ultimate celebration of music, culture, and diversity.

Local, regional, and international acts graced the various stages, weaving a rich tapestry of sounds that defied borders and genres. As the crowd swayed under the shimmering lights, it was clear this was another night to remember.
When Suuna Ben took the stage at around 5:00 am, the atmosphere shifted. A roar erupted from the crowd, a testament to his unmatched talent and connection with his different audiences.
With his dynamic fusion of local kadongo kamu rhythms and modern beats, Suuna Ben brought an electrifying presence that had everyone on their feet. From his heartfelt ballads to high-energy anthems, he masterfully guided the crowd through a rollercoaster of emotions, making it clear why he was the highlight of the evening.

Suuna Ben wasn’t the only star of the night. Kenneth Mugabi captivated hearts with his soulful melodies, his guitar strings plucking at emotions with every note. His performance felt like a warm embrace, a moment of intimacy amidst the high-energy chaos.

Pia Pounds brought her signature flair, her vibrant vocals matched by her magnetic stage presence. Her hit songs, from Tupaate to more recent releases, turned the grounds into a dance haven.
Elijah Kitaka added an eclectic twist to the lineup, blending alternative sounds with his smooth voice and instrumental prowess alongside the double black band showcasing why he’s a rising force on Uganda’s music scene.
And it didn’t stop there. The festival’s promise of cultural exchange was fulfilled as acts from Nigeria and Kenya brought their unique flavours to the stage. Afrobeat rhythms from Nigeria and Kenyan gengetone beats had the crowd moving in unison, erasing any sense of national boundaries.
As the night wore on, the crowd grew larger, the energy more intense amidst drizzles. Stalls serving local and international cuisines added flavour to the experience, while art installations created an otherworldly ambience that complemented the music.

DJ Alicia captivated the revealers with amapiano mixes and vibes as the final beats faded into the early morning hours.
But beyond the music and dancing, festivalgoers experienced a refreshing twist; over 4,220 litres of free drinking water were made available to encourage moderation and responsible partying.
