Nyamutoro’s leadership starts from home – Eddy Kenzo tells social media in-laws

KAMPALA - The Nyamukenzos have had social media eating from the palms of their hands since Monday when a picture of Phiona Nyamutoro serving Eddy Kenzo juice, with Alien Skin’s ear-tear smile captured, went viral.

While some considered the act that of a well-groomed wife following the traditional role of looking after her husband, the naysayers claimed it was disrespectful for a minister to kneel before a mere Kenzo while greeting. 

For serving juice, they argued that a wife is not a servant who rushes back home after a hard day at office to serve a husband who has just been chilling at home. 

By press time, the two sides had not come to an understanding.

However, Knezo has responded to the couple’s so-called social media in-laws. 

In an interview, the singer explained that his fiance’s form of leadership starts from their home and extends to her office as the Minister of State for Minerals in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development. 

“She is a good leader and leadership starts from home. When the home is strong, the office will be too,” said Kenzo in an interview that was full of high praise for Nyamutoro. 

He added that he is now “always on honeymoon”.

Alien Skin, who witnessed it all, was in shock. “I went there (to Kenzo’s home) with four of my security guards. Then the minister came back home. My Lord, she left her security guards behind and came to greet us. Then she knelt down, and greeted Kenzo,” recalls Alien Skin. 

Five minutes later, according to Alien Skin, she served them all juice.

With just one incident in which Alien Skin witnessed what lovers do, he turned into a marriage counsellor. 

He advised Zari Hassan to pick a leaf from Nyamutoro and treat her husband Shakib Lutaaya the same way.
