KAMPALA - St. Francis Hospital Nsambya Training School, an affiliate medical school of Nsambya hospital that trains nurses, midwives and laboratory technicians, has clocked 100 years.

The school was founded in 1921 by an Irish missionary nun, Mother Mary Kevin Kearney, to train general nursing professionals who would work in Nsambya Hospital, which she had started earlier on, in 1903.
