Businessman Frank Gashumba has lauded popular Zimbabwean Islamic speaker Mufti Ismail Menk, saying he is the only man that can make him convert to Islam.

“In Uganda, he is a man who is close to the late Nuhu Muzaata (the leader of the Kibuli-based Muslim faction) in his teachings. He’s the only man who gives him the reason to become a Muslim because he is very good," Gashumba said.

Following Menk's upcoming visit to Uganda from March 8-9, Gashumba, also a motivational speaker, urged Ugandans to attend the Zimbabwean's conference, saying he has never seen someone who is a good teacher like Menk. This will be Menk's second visit to Uganda.

Gashumba was among the guests at the Kampala Serena Hotel on Monday, March 4, 2024 during a press conference organised about Menk's impending visit.

Gashumba revealed that he got to know Menk through social media when he came across his inspirational videos.

Mufti Menk is the grand Mufti of Zimbabwe’s Muslim community. He has  won the KSBEA2015 Award for Social Guidance in the UAE; he’s known for guiding people in all aspects of life globally.

“Mufti Menk is a Muslim, but his words are medicine to the world because when he is preaching, he focuses on humanity and guidance, so I never miss his teachings," Gashumba stated.

He noted that all over the world, people lack motivation and guidance, urging Ugandans to attend Menk's gathering. Gashumba added that all the proceeds from the event will go towards charity since the Islamic fasting period (Ramadhan) is around the corner.
