Miss Tourism Uganda northern contestants cast light on dark tourism at Barlonyo Memorial Site

At the site, the beauty queens were immersed in gut-wrenching stories of what happened at the site when the Lord’s Resistance Army raided Barlonyo Internally Displaced People's camp on February 21, 2004, and massacred over 300 people, abducted several others, and set the camp ablaze.
