December is arguably the most festive month of them all. So, if you are wondering where to go and have some fun with your little ones, please think no further than the Toto Christmas Festival.
It is only a few days away on December 07, at Kampala Parents School Playground, where children will have a fun time in a secure location.
Vision Group head of marketing and communication Lorraine Tukahirwa said the children’s festival is one of the company’s most cherished events.
“The festival is one of our most cherished celebrations because it brings children, parents, and communities together in a special and meaningful way. Every year, the Toto Christmas Festival reminds us what pure joy looks like. It’s laughter, energy, and the fun in seeing children freely express themselves,” said Tukahirwa.
A children’s expert, Estella Kabagaya of Mama Children’s Village, echoed Tukahirwa on the importance of a family enjoying fun time together.
“A walk through a festival, sharing a plate of food, clapping along to performances, or even getting lost in laughter during a family game—these moments stitch families together in ways that everyday routines cannot. For many children, this is the one time of the year when they have their parents’ full attention, and that alone becomes a memory they carry forever,” she said.
Oliver Nambi, a teacher at City Parents School, weighed in, saying children’s festivals, such as the Toto Christmas Festival, give children and parents the opportunity to bond. Away from the humdrum daily hustle of school and work commutes, she said the festival allows them to unwind and have a good time together.
“The children also get exposure because they are usually at home and school, and hardly have any time to enjoy with their parents,” said Nambi, adding that they also make new friends and showcase their talents.
This is in keeping with the Toto Christmas Festival, which will also have a talent search for dancing, painting and colouring.
Kabagaya, in support of children’s festivals, said they offer powerful development benefits.
“Festivals also offer powerful developmental benefits. Children strengthen their social skills as they meet new friends, learn to share space, experience music, art, and culture, and develop confidence as they explore new environments. Families, too, rediscover traditions, joy, and togetherness.”
She added, “When festivals are thoughtfully designed, they don’t just end the year—they strengthen families, nurture children, and plant joy that grows long after the holidays end.”
The festival is organised by Vision Group, in conjunction with sponsors and partners, namely Ruparelia Group, SUMZ, Indomie Instant Noodles, Toyota Uganda, Pepsi and National Identification Registration Authority (NIRA).
At an affordable entrance fee of sh10, 000 for children, with free entrance for parents, the little ones and the whole family will have a field day of fun at Kampala Parents School Playground on 7th December.
