Lwasa brought another woman to our bed – Angel

KAMPALA - The war of words between tycoon Emmanuel Lwasa and ex-lover Angel Kwankunda has taken an ugly turn. 

After a series of accusations and counter-accusations, it has now hit the ceiling. From allegations of theft, a miscarriage, violence, mismanagement of a Masaka nightclub, Angel has now gone bare knuckles.

She has alleged that on the night of her kwanjula, Lwasa brought another woman into her bed.

The couple held an introduction ceremony in March, 2021. It is not only that that bothered her and drove her away from her man.

“Instead of consummating the marriage with me on that night, he did it with the other woman,” she said in an exclusive interview. 

“When I reached his home, I found a lady he introduced as a caretaker. When it was time to sleep, she joined us in bed. I asked Lwasa what was happening and if we were all going to sleep together. Lwasa said yes, and I took a bedcover and covered myself on one side. Lwasa and the woman ‘slept together’. He never respected me,” says Angel.

The bigger shock came in the morning when Angel asked for an explanation. “She raped me,” Angel alleges Lwasa told her.

The relationship between Angel and the said caretaker remained sour. Angel further alleges that she had a physical fight with the caretaker and Lwasa’s children at the home.

However, Lwasa denied any wrongdoing. “I was not in bed with her (caretaker),” he says. He adds that he is a very strong man who cannot be raped.

In a sudden turn of events, Lwasa is ready to take Angel back, on condition that she apologises “for lying about me”. 

He says that he is willing to forego the bride price refund he has been vehemently asking for. 

The bride price was sh15m and 12 cows, according to him. However, refunding bride price at the …of a marriage is against the law in Uganda.
