After eight years, the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) carnival has returned bigger and better.

The Prime Minister of Uganda, Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja, who is the guest of honour, has graced the event happening at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds on Sunday.

She was accompanied by Kampala Executive Director Sharifa Bukezi, Minister for Kampala Hajjat Minsa Kabanda, and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism Doreen Katusiime.

The carnival is celebrated under the theme "Celebrating Kampala: Culture, Innovation and Sustainability.
