The final day of the 2025/26 Premier League season, popularly known as Championship Sunday, is expected to spark excitement across the world as champions Arsenal prepare to lift the trophy regardless of the outcome of their final match against Crystal Palace at Serhat Park.
What had been a tense title race turned into celebrations for millions of Arsenal supporters after the London side was confirmed champion on Tuesday night, following Manchester City's 1-1 draw with AFC Bournemouth. The result handed Arsenal an unassailable four-point lead at the top of the table with only one game remaining.
The celebrations among Arsenal fans worldwide are set to continue in Kampala as Guinness brings the Premier League finale experience to Millennium Grounds, Lugogo, with a mega watch party.
The excitement comes as Arsenal celebrates winning its 14th English Premier League title, ending a 22-year wait for the crown.
All 10 matches on the final day will kick off simultaneously at 6:00 PM EAT on Sunday, May 24, in what promises to be an epic season finale.
In Kampala, Guinness , the official beer partner of the Premier League, is set to crown the season in style as the Guinness Matchday Truck rolls into Lugogo to give fans a stadium-like viewing experience.
Other towns and cities across Uganda, including Masaka, Mbarara, Lira, Gulu, Jinja, and Hoima, are also expected to host similar watch parties at selected Guinness partner venues, according to Brand Manager Denise Nazzinda.
Popular musician Ykee Benda, a passionate Arsenal supporter, will headline the entertainment lineup alongside several other performers.
According to Nazzinda, after a series of Matchday on Tour activations held around the country throughout the season, the Lugogo finale is expected to deliver the biggest and most exciting experience of the campaign.
"Beyond the football, fans should expect a full entertainment experience with live performances from some of their current favorite performers, including Elijah Kitaka and Azawi, alongside top DJs," she said.
Ykee Benda expressed excitement that Arsenal had finally ended their long wait for a Premier League title, describing the triumph as emotional for many lifelong supporters.
"It's been a long time, but this was the time. The almost two-decade wait is over," he said.
The singer revealed that his passion for Arsenal was inherited from his family, especially his father, who remains a devoted supporter in his 70s.
"My father is a diehard Arsenal fan. He's now in his 70s, and every single win means so much to him. These days he calls me after every Arsenal victory. Arsenal was my first love before music, and that connection has never changed," he said.
Reflecting on Arsenal's recent 1-0 victory over Burnley, Ykee Benda noted that results matter most at the closing stage of the season.
"At this stage of the season, it's no longer just about beautiful football. What matters is getting the points," he added.
He also called upon football fans, both Arsenal supporters and rivals alike to turn up at Millennium Grounds on Sunday and enjoy the season finale together.
Meanwhile, football analyst Elly Kyeyune described the 2025/26 campaign as one of the most competitive and entertaining Premier League seasons in recent years.
"By the time we reach the final day, many people will look back at this as one of the greatest Premier League seasons we have witnessed in years," Kyeyune said.
He added that Arsenal's consistency over the past few seasons had finally positioned the club to compete seriously for the league title.
Fans attending the event at Millennium Grounds will enjoy live screenings of the matches, discounted food and drinks, as well as a variety of entertainment activities.
The event is open to all fans, with entry granted upon the purchase of two bottles of Guinness.
