Saturday night (November 29) at Ndere Cultural Centre will be remembered as Joshua Baraka held his debut concert titled B’raka Land.

The event sold out days earlier, signalling the anticipation surrounding Baraka’s first major headline moment.

By midday, the venue had already begun buzzing with a pre-party. Bell Citrus, the headline partner, activated vibrant photo booths and interactive stations that gave the night a fresh and youthful identity.

The venue was filled to capacity, with a sea of Gen Z and millennials who came ready with phones charged, lyrics memorised, and hearts open with excitement.

Performances from Ricky Odrey, Aijuka, Kamanzi, and the growing underground musicians set the pace. DJs Etania and Alza followed, electrifying the crowd with high-energy sets while MC Viana Indi and Saint Trevor kept the audience entertained and connected.

Then, in a blackout moment that heightened anticipation, lights exploded across the amphitheatre as a dance troupe stormed the stage, signalling the arrival of the night’s main act.

Baraka opened strongly and never once lost momentum. From favourites like NanaDelilahSiri Kwewaliba and Bwana, the audience sang along word-for-word, turning the amphitheatre into one collective voice.

Some of the most emotional moments came from surprise collaborations. Maurice Kirya joined Baraka for Misubawa before transitioning into Busabala, and later, Big Tril, Mun G, and A Pass shook the audience with nostalgic performances, including Sesetula and Chupa Ku Chupa.
