Singer Mikie Wine has vowed to continue releasing gospel music, saying he enjoys it more than the secular one.

He attributed the shift in his musical tastes and preferences to gospel musician Levixone. Mikie, Michael Mukwaya, has so far collaborated with Levixone on two songs - Guno Omwaka and  Lunaku Lwe Lunno.

Mikie, who was in the company of Levixone, however, clarified that he will still release secular music.

"All the tattoos I have are biblical scriptures, which means from way back, I have been a Born-Again Christian. I love my God. My parents died when I was young and the Lord enabled my elder brothers and sisters to raise me and that always given me the zeal to keep praising and worship Him," the Yanimba singer said.

Mikie made the remarks during an interview at Soyi Soyi show by comedians Maulana and Reign at Theatre Labonita in Kampala on Idd el-Adhuha, June 16, 2024.
