How to prepare chicken biryani, Indian style

Chicken biryani is a famous dish and several people love it for its different flavours and ingredients.

Ronald Desire Binoga, a brand chef with Blended Dubai Restaurants says, there are different kinds of biryanis but chicken biriyani is the most popular. 

It can be eaten anytime though most people prefer having it at lunch or dinner because it’s a heavy meal. Binoga shows you how to prepare biryani, Indian style.

What you need

Chicken cutlets bone or boneless 1-2kgs
Biryani masala 200grms
Salt 50grms
Youghurt 200grms
Paprika 20rms
Coriander 10grms fresh
Rice 1kg basmati
Coriander powder 10grms
Ghee 20grms
Cooking oil 100ml
Cardamom seeds whole
Bay leaves  3pcs
Onion 100grms
Garlic 50grms

How to prepare

1. Cut chicken into even pieces 
2. Put it into a mixing bowl, add yoghurt, all spices, and oil
3. Allow it to rest 
4. Soak the rice in water  
5. Fry the chicken in a pan until mid-well cooked. Add garlic and onion 
6. Drain the water from the rice and add to the pan with chicken 
7. ⁠Add water (1kg of rice to 1.5liters of water)
8. ⁠Add cardamom and bay leaves and cook while covered. Use medium-high heat until cooked 
9. ⁠Add ghee and allow it to spread
10. Serve
