The grounds of Kampala Parents School came alive with colour as the Ugandan-Indian community came together to celebrate the annual Holi festival in grand style.

Hosted by the East Indian Cultural Association and the Indian Association of Uganda on Saturday, March 23, the festivities commenced with a presentation by Miss India Uganda, setting the stage for an evening of entertainment and celebration. The air was filled with excitement as Miss Little India Uganda joined the stage.

At 8:46pm, the night sky erupted into a kaleidoscope of colours as fireworks danced overhead, marking the official commencement of the Holi festival.

The magnificent display was a sight to behold, igniting a sense of wonder and awe among the gathered crowd.

The event continued with a dazzling Bollywood fusion dance performance by the Abakari group.

The dancers, adorned in vibrant attire, mesmerised the audience with their graceful movements and infectious energy, weaving a fabric of culture and tradition.

As the music filled the air, revellers were swept away by the rhythmic beats, nodding their heads in delight and gleeful smiles.

The fusion dance by the Abakari group, followed by a perfectly choreographed Indian dance, showcased the talent and passion of the performers, leaving the audience spellbound.

However, it was the performance by Prankchu, depicting a young Indian warrior through acrobatic feats that stole the show.

With agility and gusto, Prankchu exemplified the spirit of bravery and determination, captivating the hearts of all who watched.

The festivities reached a crescendo with a live music performance by renowned Indian celebrity singers and composers, Sharib and Toshi. Their soulful melodies filled the air, inspiring joyful dancing and celebration among the gathered crowd.
