Last week, rapper Gravity Omutujju asked singer/National Unity Platform leader Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine, to construct a hospital on his One Love Beach in Busabala.

In making this request, the rapper was prompted by comments made by Kyagulanyi during an address late last year at the National Unity Platform headquarters, where he expressed disappointment with artistes for being complacent with a supposed sh15b grant from the Government.

Kyagulanyi lamented that such an amount of money could build a hospital such as Kiruddu Hospital.

Gravity Omuttujju, real name Gereson Wabuyi, reacted to Kyagulanyi’s message to artistes with antics.

The rapper took two bags of cement and sand on a truck to Bobi Wine’s One Love Beach as contribution for constructing the hospital he urged the singer turned politician to build.

Gravity Omutujju continued the antics by going on to meet President Yoweri Museveni and asking him to contribute to building the hospital.

In recent developments, Gravity Omutujju appears to have abandoned those initial plans.

The singer told the media that since Bobi Wine did not respond to his request to build a hospital, he has decided utilise his own land that is located in Busabala to build a medical centre.

He explained that he had initially intended to use the land to construct rental apartments, but has decided to sacrifice it to build a medical centre that the singer says will provide free services to women giving birth.

Gravity said all they will need to do in order acquire these services is be a resident of Busabala and present their national identity cards at the medical centre.

He vowed to continue ask for many more developments to be made in Busabala such as a community centre, where the youth can engage in sports activities such as skating and basketball.

The Okwepicha singer, however, said that he has no plans to run for a political position and that he takes no side in politics.

He said he would like Bobi Wine to assist him in this new endeavour by helping him gather people that can contribute to the cause.

The rapper clarified that he specifically wanted Kyagulanyi to build the hospital because he is the artiste that is a political leader and has an influential voice that people respond to.
