Ghetto Kids to perform with Shakira at World Cup final

The Triplets Ghetto Kids have done it again. It has been confirmed the group of prodigies will perform alongside Columbi-born superstar Shakira and Nigerian Burna Boy at the Soccer World Cup final set to take place on July 19, 2026 in New Jersey, US.

The group will back the singers on the Dai Dai official World Cup song. The final will take place at the prestigious MetLife stadium.

“It is true that the Ghetto Kids will be performing on Shakira’s set at the closing ceremony of the World Cup,” said their manager, Dauda Kavuma, the group’s manager on Wednesday May 20, 2026. Shakira had earlier posted a similar message in a video on her Twitter (former X) handle. She called on entertainers to record videos for a chance to join her performance of the official 2026 World Cup song.

Kavuma clarified that the Kids did not record a song with Shakira as alleged by some of their social media followers. “We recorded a video and sent it to her with a request that we perform with her at the World Cup final. We are grateful that she accepted our request,” said Kavuma. He said he would not divulge further details as they are still confidential.

The Ghetto Kids have come full circle from their inception. In 2023, the group wowed live and online audiences with their emotive performance during the America’s Got Talent show. They were eliminated at the semi-final stage. It is the same year the group performed in Paris at Paris St. Germain (PSG) home ground. The group also featured in French Montana’s Unforgettable video.
