You have probably come across his photo on social media while he is holding sheets of paper, a microphone and a mobile phone jacket attached to his belt.

He always has two pens neatly slid into his shirt pocket and a shiny wristwatch.

Well, this is Godfrey Jjemba Matte, a resident of Mbulakati in Kitimbwa Sub-county, Kayunga district.

His job? Matte is both an entertainer and volunteer reader of announcements at funeral and burial ceremonies.

Another secret? The ‘viral meme’ guy’s phone jacket is always empty!

However, Thursday was a lucky day for him as Bbaale County legislator Charles Tebandeke handed him a new mobile phone.

This was not all. Matte also got 10 bags of cement to help him complete his unfinished house.

Matte is one of the beneficiaries of Tebandeke’s "Nsindika njake, Bbaale ku ntikko" project. Under this programme, the MP contributes to hardworking electorates in various ways depending on what individuals are doing.

The MP challenged the youth to start income-generating activities if they are to benefit from his support programme.
