Nomad Bar and Lounge in Bunga was recently buzzing as a number of partygoers flocked to the venue to witness DJ Kace's (The African Muzungu) magical hands on the decks.
The Kenyan DJ flew into the country to headline the "A Night in Mexico" Season 2 celebrations.
The atmosphere inside and outside the bar, as soon as you set foot, indicated that something unusual was about to take place. The venue was decorated in gold and amber colors that brought out a bold, luxurious vibe inspired by the Don Julio bottle, which partnered to fly in Kace. Coloured lights also swept across the area, allowing revelers to see each other in conversation.

Dancers entertaining the crowd during A Night In Mexico season 2 at Nomad bar
One by one, partygoers started arriving at 9 p.m., knowing it would be a long night. They were dressed in classy outfits, with most women in floral gowns, mini dresses, and leather pants, while men mostly wore tight-fitting jackets with fedora hats.
The party got going with Nomad's in-house DJs, Litto and Ashley, who then picked up with sets of afrobeat, electronic, and amapiano music. They managed to get quite a number of people on their feet.
By 3 a.m., when Kace took center stage, there were two kinds of people: those who cheered loudly and those for whom you could not tell whether they were dancing or staggering.
He opened his set with Jose Chameleone's classic "Mama Mia," which had the audience singing in unison. He then teased with some afrobeat before moving into amapiano tunes. There was hardly anything Mexican about his music. The patrons, who tried so hard to achieve the Mexican look, certainly prepared better for the night than he did.
Speaking at the event, Uganda Breweries' Senior Brand Manager for Tequila, Judie Nandekya, said they always look to partner with bars that elevate their consumers' premium fun experiences. He added that the turnout of revelers in Season 2 of "A Night in Mexico" is proof that consumers enjoyed the first experience, and promised more of such events.
