The classical-music-oriented choral ensemble of international repute performed Joseph Haydn’s Missa in tempore belli (mass in time of war) in C major. Joseph Haydn (1732-1809) was an Austrian music composer.

During their Christmas musical action, the choristers of Christ the King Church (Kampala) were accompanied by organist Paul Luggya (from Namirembe Cathedral) and the Africa Institute of Music (AIM) Orchestra.

The choir’s soloists including Liz Namukose (soprano), Judith Babirye (alto), Philip Pacutho (tenor), John Mary Mukiza (Baritone), Kevin Bill and Alice Musoke elevated the heavenly bliss of the show with their sweet vocals. Eng. Jimmy Avini also deserves gratitude for conducting the ensemble so skillfully.

Further to the major work, the choir also performed common congregational Christmas hymns such as Oh Come All Ye FaithfulLo, He Comes with Clouds Descending, Jingle Bells, Ding Dong Merrily on HighOh Holy Night, and Joy to the World, which enabled their audience to participate in the singing.
