Dynavence stressed that fashion is challenging and if one is not passionate, he or she will easily give up, and that’s the main reason why many fashion houses do not last.

Not many fashion houses in Uganda live to celebrate their 10th anniversary. On Tuesday, March 19, Dina Ruvuza of  Dynavence Couture Fashions held a mini all-white party at Bukoto in Kampala to celebrate her 10 years of existence in the fashion industry.

As we all know, celebrities have a significant impact on fashion trends and many people look up to them for inspiration while others emulate their styles.

Dynavance's guest list had many celebrities some of whom she has dressed, among them the wife of musician/politician Barbie Kyagulanyi, socialite Anita Fabiola, comedian Anne Kansiime, as well as singers Spice Diana and Rema Namakula.

While addressing the guests, Ruvuza, commonly known as Dynavence shed light on what has kept her in business.

“One of the things that has made me stay in this business is the passion I have. I can sacrifice anything just to be a perfectionist, and up to now, I believe I am not up to the level I want to be at,” she said.

Dynavence went on to stress that fashion is challenging and if one is not passionate, he or she will easily fall off, and that’s the main reason why many fashion houses do not last.

“I work low key, but with each client I have worked with, I make sure that I deliver to expectations and it’s from them I get other clients through recommendations," she said.

What do celebrities say about Dynavence?

Spice Diana
She described Dynavence as a person with great talent and flexibility to work and deal with in the line of fashion.

“We usually go together to Dubai looking for fashion materials and indeed Dynavence invests in her business. That’s why she doesn’t opt for cheap things.” she narrated.

Spice went ahead to brag about the first time she recommended Barbie Kyagulanyi to Dynavence to be her designer and since then, Barbie has not looked back.

“I put Barbie in good hands. Dynavence is the woman behind Barbie’s red carpet outfits,” she said.

Abbas Kaijuka

Abbas is one of the top fashion designers in Uganda who has scooped awards locally and internationally.

He said that he is quite impressed with Dynavence.

Abbas acknowledged that the biggest challenge most fashion designers have is fighting each other, but  "Dynavence works with almost every fashion designer in the country and maybe that has made her stand out and also be able to grow the business."

"I have collaborated with her on several occasions, even today as she celebrates her 10 years in business, it's me who made her husband’s suit, hence this only shows how two fashion designers can come up with a beautiful design,” he says.

While making her last remarks, Dynavence promised to come up with a bridal collection as a way of celebrating her milestone in fashion.

The colorful event was graced with a service to thank God for the enduring blessings and later cocktails and dinner were served.
