_______________
When the Bride & Groom magazine graced the scene in 2004, it was well-received by the market. There was a hunger for information about everything to do with weddings, from wedding gowns, grooms’ suits, salons, photography, wedding cakes, and even makeup.
A few years down, in 2009, Vision Group literally answered the people’s cry with an exposition that brought the magazine pages to life. This was (and is) the Bride and Groom Expo, which has soldiered on into its 17th year in 2026.
The inaugural expo, whose theme — Plan your wedding in a day — excited guests as the three-day event brought nearly all the service providers in the wedding industry together with the aim of simplifying wedding planning for prospective couples.
This year (2026), the expo is slated for June 26 - 28 at UMA Multipurpose Hall, under the theme, “I do: A journey of Love, Home and Family”.
In keeping with what the expo has done over the years, this expo will also have fabulous giveaway prizes, which include honeymoons, gowns, wines, rings and cakes, to mention but a few.
Lorraine Tukahirwa, Vision Group’s head of marketing and communications, said the expo is a reflection of Vision Group’s mission to provide transformational content and business solutions that advance society.
So, besides wedding service exhibitors, the expo will have businesses and service providers in the beauty, home, and lifestyle sectors because it transcends a wedding to life after “I do”.
So, the expo will have industry players in homes, fertility experts, wellness, insurance, and finance, among others: players that couples will definitely need, especially after their wedding.
