TikTok is buzzing with clips from Brian Weiyz's latest song, She Say, which has left many dumbfounded due to its connotative lyrics.
This surge in popularity can be attributed to a new record label in Australia called Cquel Entertainment, to which the singer signed in December 2023.
Narrating how he connected with the label, Weiyz hinted that friends who had heard She Say forwarded it to the managers, who fell in love with it.
After listening to the entire 16-song album, they decided to sign him.
"I had friends in contact with them, and after listening to my songs, they decided to partner with me. They opted for local management to handle me, while the label remained in Australia," Weiyz shared.
Discussing the album, he revealed that it comprises 16 tracks, featuring collaborations with Karole Kasita, Hatim and Dockey, Kataleya & Kandle, and Lillian Mbabazi. The album was produced by Mesh Pan at Fenon Records, mastered by London-based producer JP, and finalised by Herbert Skillz.
Beyond the label and the album, Weiyz is making waves with a photo where he's romantically holding media personality Viana Indi. Connecting the dots between the song and the picture, internet users are already speculating that they might be the newest celebrity couple in the city.
Addressing the photo, Weiyz hinted that it's just a picture, neither confirming nor denying a romantic relationship. He acknowledged Indie as a beautiful lady that anyone would desire as a wife.
"The song is not for her; it's for the general female population. I don't know why people think we are dating, but as you can see, she is a beautiful lady, and no man would resist her," he said.
Weiyz burst onto the entertainment scene with hits such as Bino Na Biri, Ayagala, Njagala Sula, Njoya Birya, Bimbo, Ladder and Gutte.
