Rising star Maureen Peace Namugonza, widely known as Ava Peace, has pointed to religious differences as a key factor in her decision not to pursue a romantic relationship with singer Alfa Sebunya, also known as Mudra.

Despite occasional dismissals of rumours, the two singers have long been suspected of having a clandestine relationship. Speculation intensified due to the mutual praise they lavish on each other.

However, since the release of Ava Peace's new song Whiskey, she appears to be distancing herself from Mudra.

With each passing day, she provides more reasons for not dating the Muyayu hitmaker.

In a recent appearance on a city-based TV show, Peace hinted that she would never marry a Muslim man, regardless of the circumstances.

"Among all the types of men I could marry, it cannot be a Muslim. Perhaps only if all other options are exhausted, and I am desperately seeking one. I would prefer to marry a man who shares the same religion as me, which is Catholicism, to avoid confusion for our children," she expressed.

It's worth noting that Mudra is a devout Muslim, steadfast in his beliefs, even issuing warnings to comedians against making comedy skits about Allah and the Muslim fraternity. Given Mudra's strong religious convictions, Peace's stance becomes a significant barrier between them.

Despite both maintaining that they are still friends, their relationship appears to be fading like a sunset.
