Ahead of the Miss Tourism finals 2023, two more beauty queens have been unearthed on the countrywide search.

On Saturday at the Boma Hotel in Gulu, six contestants vied for the crown of Miss Tourism north pageant. 

After a rigorous exercise and screening, Pamela Acaa was crowned the Miss Tourism North pageant winner.  She defeated Genevieve Akello (first runner up) and Juliet Angeyo (second runner up).

During the auditions, the judges tasked the girls into different stages to see who got it and among these was a talent show to see who got the best talent as they all showcased.

The 6 contestants also showcased on the run way their creative wear and they were tasked to explain how they came up with the outfits.

The winner, Acaa aged 25 is a teacher in Kitgum and will represent Miss Tourism Northern Uganda in the Grand finale. 

Meanwhile in Mbarara at Las Vegas Hotel in Mbarara yesterday (Sunday), Miss Tourism Mbarara was also held and this saw Restytuta Ayebare, a student taking home the crown and will also join other winners for the grand finale.

The Mbarara edition had 13 contestants who also engaged in same activities like the ones in the northern and in second position was Sharidah Kulabako, a model and third position Win Hopekiness Ainomujuni, a student

      The overall Miss Tourism Uganda will be crowned at Kampala Serena Hotel on September 9th.

Ever since the launch of this year’s Miss Tourism in April 2023,  under the theme Greening Tourism, the search has been conducted in different regions and the queens that will represent at nnational level have already been crowned.

At the grand finale, Miss Tourism Uganda winner takes home different prizes like cash, car, and land title among others.

Later in the year, Miss Tourism 2023/24 gets to represent Uganda in Miss Tourism International that takes place in Malaysia every year.
