Universities not ready for new curriculum, ‘lecturers not trained’
Course outlines were updated, but the underlying teaching philosophy remained unchanged. Mbulankende said one of the most visible challenges was the divide between teacher training faculties and disciplinary departments.
According to the study, universities largely maintained traditional knowledge-based teaching structures despite having reviewed and accredited their programmes in recent years.
