KASESE - Dr Kedrace Turyagyenda, the education ministry's permanent secretary, has urged university graduates to exhibit professionalism and integrity and be open to learning.
She made the remarks on Friday at the inauguration of Kagando University College as a constituent college of Uganda Christian University.
The event was also the college's 6th graduation ceremony held at Kagando Rural Development Centre (KARUDEC) in Kasese district.
The function was themed: 'Elevating health training to empower mankind and unlock potentials for a healthy community.'

The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda and Chancellor of UCU, The Most Rev. Dr. Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu graced the event.
He particularly hailed UCU and Kagando University College.
Kaziimba spoke of the importance of preserving the environment and empowering both boys and girls with knowledge and values.
Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku, the Bishop of South Rwenzori Diocese, said Kagando University College is a brainchild of Kagando Rural Development Centre, a Church of Uganda private not-for-profit facility.
The college currently employs 250 people and has a student population of 802.

Rev. Dr. Uzziah Maate Kirianghe, the executive director of the colleged, announced that the initial programmes approved by the National Council for Higher Education include Bachelor of Midwifery Science, Nursing Sciences, and Medical Laboratory Science.
Canon Prof. Aaron Mushengyezi, the Vice-Chancellor of UCU, said the University Council approved Kagando University College to be overseen by several dioceses.
A framework has since been agreed upon for the partnership's operation.
Rev. Canon Prof. Edison Kalengyo Muhindo, the board chair of KARUDEC, urged graduands not to grow weary in doing good.
