General duties minister, Justine Kasule Lumumba, said President Yoweri Museveni will fulfil all pledges of completing projects initiated by deceased Jinja Catholic Diocese bishop Martin Charles Wamika.
Kasule said Museveni was a close ally and friend to the late and has been using the relationship to help him in various projects he started, especially the construction of schools and hospitals.
She said that the major pending project is the completion of St Gongaza Minor Seminary structure at Iganga parish, where he promised shillings 950 million will be fulfilled.

Lumumba made the remarks on October 26, 2025, during a requiem mass of the late at Iganga parish, which has been his favourite parish in the diocese.
According to Lumumba, there are several pending projects, such as a hospital at Budini in Kaliro district and other school structures across parishes, but the pledges would be fulfilled after the 2026 General Election to avoid corruption.
The prayers were also attended by three Anglican bishops: Patrick Wakula, Hannington Suubi and George Egesa of Bukedi, who hailed Wamika for working and living in harmony with them.
Wakula and Egesa also praised the late for his commitment to his duty.
Iganga LC5 chairperson Ezera Gabula hailed Wamika for promoting education through various catholic-founded schools which partner with the Government.
The prayers were led by the Rev. Fr. Jude Sekyanzi, who praised Wamika as having been a lovely person to all categories of people and leaving a good legacy in his term of service.
Wamika will be laid to rest today, October 28, at the seat of the Jinja Catholic Diocese, St Joseph's Cathedral on Lubaga Hill in Jinja city.
