“She always told me that when she died, she wanted her body brought to the church for prayers. Today (Monday), we shall bury her at her new home in Nyantaboma, which I built for her,” said Gravity (real name Gereson Wambuyi).

According to the rapper, the home was still under construction and by the time of her death, she had not occupied it yet.

According to the musician, his mother suffered from high blood pressure and diabetes.

“I had been taking her to the hospital, and she was responding well to treatment. Last Wednesday, I took her to Buhinga Hospital in Fort Portal, where she got better. She had been doing well, and I was content that she would be fine, so I went back to my duties. Unfortunately, she missed my recent 'Emabagaya Isma Namina' concert on September 8, 2024, at Lugogo Cricket Oval because she wasn’t feeling well, though she had always attended my previous concerts. It’s heartbreaking news that they found her dead in her bed,” says Gravity.

He referred to his mother as his confidante, mentor and best friend.

Gravity Omutujju was brought up by a single mother and says that he has never known his father.
