Who are the top winners at 2025 CFO Awards?

PostBank’s chief finance officer, Peter Ssenyange, was named CFO of the Year at the ninth edition of the CFO Awards held at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
Ronald Makata, CFO at Stanbic came as the first runner up. The awards drew more entries than ever and highlighted new dimensions of the CFO role in areas of governance, tech, sustainability, and leadership.

Deloitte Uganda and ACCA Uganda jointly organise the CFO Awards. It recognises outstanding finance leaders who exemplify excellence in governance, strategic foresight, and sustainable business growth.
Charlotte Kukunda, Country Manager, ACCA Uganda, said this year’s programme received 546 nominations from 63 CFOs.
“We still need to acknowledge that the banking financial services and insurance continue to dominate. 13 out of the 63 were from the banking sector and six out of these 13 were shortlisted among the finalists,” she said.
