Vivo Energy Uganda has commended the Chinese business community for effortlessly supporting major development projects across the country, which has transformed into economic growth.
According to Hans Paulsen, Executive Vice President East, Vivo Energy Group, the Chinese business community continues to spearhead innovations and work closely with Vivo through numerous projects.
Paulsen was speaking on Friday during celebrations to mark the 2026 Chinese New Year and welcoming the Year of the Horse, a symbol widely associated with strength, progress, and forward momentum.
“At Vivo Energy, we don’t just supply energy; we invest in solutions that enhance our customers’ operational certainty and efficiency. Across our footprint, digital innovations such as VE-CEM (Continuous Equipment Monitoring) are providing real-time insights into fleet and equipment health, enabling predictive maintenance, reducing unplanned downtime, and lowering total operating costs for businesses,” he noted.

The gathering brought together senior leadership from Vivo Energy Uganda, government representatives, industry partners, and key customers across sectors, including construction, manufacturing, transport, and infrastructure development.
The Chinese New Year celebration, culturally significant for themes of renewal, prosperity, and sustained relationships, provided an important platform for strategic engagement.

Speaking on behalf of the Chinese business community present, Huang Tao from Wagagai Mining Uganda Limited, lauded the spirit of collaboration between Vivo and the Chinese business community.
