Uganda participates in 41st Havana Business International Fair

The Uganda Embassy in Havana has officially commenced its participation in the 41st Havana International Trade Fair taking place from 24 to 29 November.

The FIHAV 2025 at Expocuba, Rancho Boyeros, remains Cuba’s premier multi-sectoral trade exhibition, bringing together public and private enterprises, diplomatic missions, and foreign entities from over 50 countries.

Officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have revealed that Uganda’s participation this year is driven by the Embassy’s commitment to promoting Uganda as a premier tourism and investment destination. 

Through its exhibition, the Embassy aims to attract potential investors, strengthen bilateral trade relations, and create new market opportunities for Ugandan products.

A release from MOFA states that Uganda stand showcases a wide range of Ugandan agricultural products, traditional crafts, as well as tourism and investment promotional materials.

 



The mission in Havana will be engaging with: trade representatives, sector specialists, and potential business partners to explore market prospects for Ugandan exports.

The team also looks forward to and identifying opportunities for collaboration in tourism, agriculture, manufacturing, and other growth sectors.

This year, Cuban public and private companies are displaying national export products and services with a strong focus on energy transition, especially renewable energy, artificial intelligence, and tourism development.

FIHAV 2025 has attracted participation from several countries, including  Canada, China, Guyana, Indonesia, the Bahamas, Trinidad and Tobago, and Russia, among others—highlighting its importance as a hub for international trade and economic exchange.
