KAMPALA - The atmosphere at the National ICT Hub was vibrant as Refactory Academy officially launched its Digital Job Board on Wednesday.

The Job Board is a platform designed to connect graduates to global employment opportunities.

The Digital Job Board simplifies access to curated technology roles from across the world, strengthening the link between skilled talent and meaningful employment in today’s fast-evolving digital economy.

“This platform is part of a broader mission to equip tens of thousands of young people, especially women, with advanced digital skills and connect them to dignified work,” Refactory’s Executive Director, Michael Niyitegeka, said.

Organised under the 10X Programme, the Expo attracted over 1,000 participants, including leading employers such as SafeBoda, NFT Consult, Q-Sourcing, Aldelia, and Bankai Technologies. These companies actively engaged with participants, scouting talent across software development, data science, product design, IT support, and digital operations.

Niyitegeka emphasised that as Uganda’s digital economy continues to grow, the Refactory Career Expo 2026 serves as a powerful model of how ecosystems can come together to align talent, opportunity, and industry needs, which will ultimately shape the future of work.

Held under the theme “The Industry–Talent Expo,” the event redefined traditional recruitment by creating a dynamic, real-time engagement platform.

Activities such as live technical demonstrations, speed networking, on-the-spot interviews, and mentorship sessions positioned young professionals not merely as job seekers but as solution-oriented innovators ready to contribute to business growth.

Backed by Outbox and the United Nations Capital Development Fund, in partnership with Women in Technology Uganda and the Mastercard Foundation, the Expo reflects a broader, long-term vision.
