New Vision and several other companies have been awarded by the Kampala City Traders Association (KACITA) for their significant contribution to Uganda's business landscape.

In the fourth edition of the KACITA quality awards, New Vision was awarded as the best outstanding print media company of the year 2024.

The KACITA quality awards were organized under the theme; 'Celebrating excellence inspiring innovation' and were held at the Wonder World auditorium in Kasanga on Friday (October 25).

Dr Thaddeus Musoke Nagenda, the chairman of KACITA said they only award the outstanding privately owned and government-owned businesses.

Nagenda noted that he is delighted that the traders trusted him with the position of being the leader of all traders across the country, adding that as traders, they should always remain united, do more research and also regularly consult the government on various issues.

“There was a time when traders and Uganda Revenue Authority never crossed paths but currently, we are on good terms,” Nagenda said, adding the majority of the merchandise containers that had been held by the URA were released because of good working relationships.
