MTN is dropping the famous ‘Everywhere You Go’ slogan and logo as it morphs into a fully-fledged technology company with a simple brand identity.

With the new logo, MTN is doing away with the familiar white, yellow, and blue oval and opts for a simplified block text “MTN’ in black sitting in an oval. 

MTN said that major announcements regarding the rebrand will be made on February 27, 2022.

The revelation of the new brand identity triggered a wide range of speculation via online platforms as MTN Uganda, a wholly subsidiary of MTN Group hinted at the changes that will take effect Group-wide.

On the MTN Group website, a statement noted that MTN Group’s Ambition 2025 is aimed at leading digital platforms for Africa’s progress.

“…has ushered in a new look that is aligned to our evolution from a telecommunications company to a technology company underpinned by one simple, consistent, yet striking brand,” the statement reads in part.

“Our commitment and focus to accelerate Africa’s progress sees MTN revealing a refreshed brand identity and campaign from February 27. The campaign is inspired by an insight that doing is a bridge between can and done, because all progress comes from action.”
