The Uganda shilling strengthened further during Thursday's session as interbank players unwound their dollar positions coupled with minimal activity on the demand side, traders said.
The local currency closed the trading session at 3805/3815 levels from the day’s opening levels of 3855/3865 per dollar.
Money markets were liquid according to Absa with overnight yields at averages of 9.220%.
The Bank of Uganda is scheduled to hold a treasury bill auction on August 17, 2022.
