Uganda Golf Club’s Rodell Gaita returned an overall nine-under 275 over 72 holes to win the Stanbic Bank Entebbe Golf Open played at Entebbe Club.

This was the second major for Gaita following his Kakira Open triumph in Jinja last year since joining the paid ranks two years ago.

In the amateurs’ gross category, Uganda Open Champion Godfrey Nsubuga was also still hot, prevailing over the 49-man competition after uniform rounds of three-under 69 over 36 holes. 

Apart from the prizes Gaita and Nsubuga also won themselves medical insurance for a year each courtesy of Stanbic partners and co-sponsors Jubilee Allianz Insurance. Off the course at the 19th hole, it was all about partying and receiving prizes for those that excelled. Michael Nsubuga captured the moments.
