World Trade Organisation (WTO) members with low or no professional representation in the WTO Secretariat have been urged to apply for the WTO Young Professional Program to enhance their knowledge of WTO and skills in international trade issues
This is a unique opportunity for qualified young professionals up to the age of 32 years with beneficiaries set to receive fully funded sponsorship in Geneva, Switzerland.
This fully Funded One-Year Training Program will give professionals hands-on Experience about the WTO and International Trade Issues, and all selected Fellows will work at the WTO Secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland.
The selected professionals will also be given a salary of CHF 4000, Medical Cover, and Travel costs. The WTO YPP is set to start in January 2026, and applicants have been cautioned against paying any charges.
The Purpose of the Program is to gain Knowledge about International Trade, rules, policies, development, rights, Technical and other Issues.
Areas of Work
The program provides a one-year, non-extendable opportunity to gain practical experience at the WTO. Applicants can indicate up to three preferred areas of WTO work, ranked in order of preference.
Eligibility Criteria
Be a national of a WTO member state.
Education: Possess an advanced university degree in:
Law, Economics or other international trade-related subjects relevant to WTO work
Experience: Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience.
Language: Fluent in English.
Age: Must not exceed 32 years.
