Banks cut working hours as second lockdown bites

In notices and messages to customers, Absa Bank, Standard Chartered and Centenary Bank indicated that branches will now be open between 9:00am and 3:00pm, shortening business hours from 8:30am to 5:00pm before the lockdown announcement.

Commercial banks have revised their working hours for branches downwards as the second nationwide lockdown disrupts normal operations.

In July last year, commercial banks had resumed full operations after some lockdown
