Absa has partnered with Visa to introduce a new form of card in the market that targets the financial needs of high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients.

Speaking during the launch at Kampala Serena Hotel, David Wandera, Absa Interim Managing Director, said the cards will address the evolving needs of our high-value customers who travel frequently, conduct business globally, and demand seamless financial solutions.

“Partnering with Visa allows us to expand our personal card range with premium products that attract and retain high-net-worth clients while driving growth across all segments,” Wandera said.

The three premium card products; Visa Infinite, Visa Signature, and a Business Credit Card.

According to the Uganda Bankers Association’s 2023 report, debit card transactions surged from sh532.9b in Q3 2023 to sh581.1b in Q4 2023.

Chad Pollock, Visa East Africa’s Vice President and General Manager, said the collaboration will build onto years of partnership to deliver value-driven solutions for customers.

The Visa Infinite Card, targets affluent customers with features such as global acceptance, luxury travel perks, and lifestyle benefits.

The Visa Signature Card caters to top-tier clients seeking premium banking services, while the Business Credit Card offers enterprises advanced expense management tools, including real-time spending analytics and customizable controls.
